Tom Virden is also the founder and CEO of Boatbookings.com, a worldwide leader in luxury yacht bookings, and currently sits on the board of directors of several companies including Atari. Prior to launching Boatbookings.com, Mr. Virden was Executive Vice President of lastminute.com where he headed up the company’s international development from the company’s launch and prior to the acquisition by Travelocity.com. Prior to Lastminute.com, Mr. Virden spent ten years at Apple, in a variety of marketing and product management roles, as well as at Netscape, where he was in charge of their European websites. Mr. Virden holds a BA in economics and psychology from Stanford University.
Troy Simoni is co-founder and CEO of SweetBeam, with the responsibility of driving the strategy and vision for the company’s development and growth. Prior to SweetBeam, Mr. Simoni was co-founder and CEO of Quiconnect, a specialized software and systems provider which grew to service nearly all of the world’s leading wireless telecoms operators, and was aquired by Connection Services Holdings Limited in 2011. Prior to this, Mr. Simoni held various management positions at Hewlett Packard both in the USA and Europe. He holds an MBA from Cornell University and lives with his family in Dubai, UAE.
Jean-Marc is an e-commerce and technology expert. He was the founding CTO of Kelkoo, which was acquired by Yahoo! for 475 million Euros in 2004. Having then served as Vice President, Engineering for Yahoo! Europe, he now works as an advisor to venture capital funds while also advising internet-based startup companies in France. Mr. Potdevin holds a degree in Engineering from the Institut Superieur d’Electronique du Nord, and lives with his family near Grenoble, France.
Norm Johnston is the Global Digital Leader for Mindshare Worldwide. He previously worked at Accenture as well as America’s first digital agency, Modem Media, where he won numerous international interactive awards on behalf of large multinational clients.
Mr. Johnston has recently assumed a broad global responsibility at Mindshare for digital services in Europe as well as a position on the company’s Global Executive Board. He holds an MBA from Duke University and lives with his family in London, UK.
Jeff Archambault is the Vice President of Strategic Philanthropy at The Walt Disney Co. EMEA. Prior to this role, he was Vice President of Communications for Disneyland Paris. He joined the Euro Disney Group as part of the opening team as Finance Manager and has since taken on various leadership roles within Disney including Vice President Walt Disney Studios Development and Vice President Corporate Alliances & Alliance Marketing.
Mr. Archambault holds an MBA from Stanford University. He lives with his family in Paris, France.
James Sullivan comes to SweetBeam after more than 25 years at Marriott, where he held the position of Executive Vice President Lodging Development. During his tenure at Marriott, Mr. Sullivan grew Marriott’s global hotel portfolio from 539 hotels to more than 3,400.
Sullivan also spearheaded the addition of key brands to Marriott’s growth platform such as The Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance and Bvlgari. Mr. Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston College and an MBA from the University of Connecticut School of Business.
